This Saturday, JBC will Talk About the Queen of Crime Mystery! (April 15)
“To every problem, there is a most simple solution.”
“Everyone is a potential murderer - in everyone there arises from time to time the wish to kill - though not the will to kill.”
“Crime is terribly revealing. Try and vary your methods as you will, your tastes, your habits, your attitude of mind, and your soul is revealed by your actions.”
― Agatha Christie
Best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, Agatha Christie has been a familiar name since our first acquaintance with books. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language and a billion in translation.
Based on our majority votes last month, we'll discuss some of Agatha Christie's novels, including but not limited to: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Crooked House, and Miss Marple-The Complete Short Stories and more (to be updated).
It will be easier for you to join in the discussion if you have read one of the author's books in advance. RSVP should be made through this link. Don't miss it! ;)
AGENDA OF EVENT:
• Book reviews and discussion
• Updates & briefing on Big Bad Wolf Book Bazaar Jakarta 2017
• Book swap (bring your old book and expect to bring home a "new" one. We don't accept journals, magazines, cookbooks or textbooks)
The discussion will be moderated in English and Bahasa Indonesia. This event is independently supported by JBC officers. Your donation will be used to cover administration cost, as well as snacks and drinks for the next meetup.
